Beru Khyentse II. Jamgon Kongtrul III.
What is the meaning of

Khyenkong Tharjay

The name “Khyenkong” is derived from the names of Beru Khyentse Rinpoche and Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche. The late Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche was Beru Khyentse Rinpoche’s closest dharma friend, and they could always rely on each other. The name Khyenkong thus honors the precious and enduring bond between them.

“Tharjay” is connected to the monastery called Pal Karmey Csode Dongak Sedrup Tubten Tharjay Chokhorling, a name given by the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa himself.
